Won the Henan lithium battery recycling project

The Sixth Design and Research Institute of Mechanical Industry Co., Ltd. (SIPPR), a subsidiary of CMEC, has won the bid for Henan BSK's lithium battery recycling project, which processes 300,000 tons of decommissioned batteries annually. This marks the largest single-site decommissioned lithium battery project undertaken by SIPPR.

The project integrates SIPPR's advanced circular economy expertise, pioneering China's first intelligent battery dismantling and powder processing technology alongside its highly-efficient hydrometallurgy solutions. Upon completion, the project will be able to recycle 300,000 tons of lithium iron phosphate batteries annually, producing 20,000 tons of battery-grade lithium carbonate, significantly boosting production capacity and enhancing lithium battery recycling rates.

Won the bid for the Jiangxi Nanchang Ganfeng new battery project

CMCU Engineering Co., Ltd. (CMCU), another subsidiary of CMEC, has won the bid for Ganfeng Li Energy's new battery project in Jiangxi province, which will have an annual capacity of 10 GWh. CMCU will provide comprehensive engineering design services for the project. This continues the company's long-standing partnership with Ganfeng Lithium, following successful project designs for its Chongqing, Dongguan, and Inner Mongolia facilities.

The project spans approximately 300 mu (200,000 sqm), with a total construction area of 280,000 square meters. It will include energy storage and consumer battery production workshops, a PACK workshop, a testing center, an office building, an R&D center, and supporting infrastructure. Leveraging its expertise in process design and master planning, CMCU is integrating advanced industry technologies, emphasizing lean production and operational efficiency, and delivering innovative solutions in process layout and overall site planning.

Through these achievements, CMEC continues to solidify its leadership in the new energy sector, setting new industry benchmarks and driving the global transition to sustainable energy.
