On February 20, Sinomach's Beijing Materials Handling Research Institute Co (BMH) and Japan's Hirono Co held a signing ceremony at the Sapporo Youth Center in Hokkaido to formalize their cooperation agreement. In the presence of Chairman Wang Bo of China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) and President Hirono Masatoshi of Hirono Group, BMH General Manager Huang Yuefeng and Hirono President Yasuda Hikaru signed the agreement. Under this partnership, Hirono will serve as BMH's exclusive agent for ropeway business in Japan.

The event was attended by Xia Xiangjie, deputy consul general of the Chinese Consulate in Sapporo, as well as key figures from major ski resort operators, investment institutions in Hokkaido, representatives from the Japan Ski Federation and the Hokkaido Ski Association, officials from Hokkaido and Sapporo City Hall, and leading companies in the Chinese ski industry.

During the ceremony, Hirono Masatoshi praised BMH's advanced ropeway technology and equipment, highlighting Japan's widespread issue of aging ropeway infrastructure in ski resorts and tourist destinations. He emphasized that Hirono is committed to promoting equipment upgrades and seeks to collaborate with China's top ropeway manufacturers to enhance the international competitiveness of Japan's skiing and tourism industry.

Wang Bo outlined BMH's business strategy, technological strengths, and market expansion efforts. He expressed his hope that this partnership would leverage Hirono Group's expertise in sports facility operations and ski resort management in Japan, combined with BMH's excellence in ropeway equipment research, design, manufacturing, and engineering. Together, the two companies aim to provide advanced ropeway solutions for Japanese ski resorts, ski enthusiasts, and tourists worldwide.

Xia Xiangjie said the collaboration is a strong example of the complementary industrial strengths of China and Japan. By integrating BMH's high-quality ropeway equipment with Hokkaido's century-long experience in ski resort operations, the partnership will further align China's equipment manufacturing standards with international benchmarks.
