The China-Belarus Industrial Park Great Stone recently joined hands with Sinomach subsidiary China CAMC Engineering Co Ltd (CAMCE) to build an international health industrial park for traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in Qingdao, East China's Shandong province. The project is also an effort to deepen China-Belarus cooperation in the joint pursuit of the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).

A signing ceremony was held online in Beijing, Qingdao and Minsk, capital of Belarus, to launch the China-Belarus International TCM Health Industrial Park and China-Belarus Deep Cooperation Zone Project. Representatives of CAMCE and China-Belarus Industrial Park, as well as local government officials and other project participants, attended the event or joined via video link.

The project is designed to build up long-term bonds of cooperation and to boost the industrial integration and international development of the two countries. The sister parks will center on healthcare, agriculture, technology and culture to create a featured highlight of BRI construction and a front-runner in global TCM development.

Located in Chengyang district of Qingdao, the China-Belarus International TCM Health Industrial Park will include China's first international TCM health industry demonstration complex and the first China-Belarus international cross-border e-commerce cooperation platform. It will be equipped with special-purpose funds and will host the World Traditional Medicine Forum.

Other supporting facilities will also be completed as more enterprises settle in the park to propel in-depth cooperation between China and Belarus in an all-round way.
