China United Engineering Corporation (CUC) recently won the bid for the Engineering Procurement Construction (EPC) project of the Social Governance Service Center and "City Brain" in Shangyu district of Shaoxing, a city of east China’s Zhejiang province.

With a total floor area of 22,025 square meters, the project involves construction of a comprehensive service building for social governance and a "City Brain" complex.

The City Brain is designed to empower cities to think with data-driven governance by means of big data, cloud computing and artificial intelligence in the five basic fields of economy, politics, culture, society and ecology.

The project will create a digital city life to let residents better enjoy city services and managers better allocate public resources and make scientific decisions, improving the effectiveness of urban governance. The project has laid a functional foundation for local efforts to promote balanced economic, political, cultural, social, and ecological progress in the new era along with the regional integration of the Yangtze River Delta.

Shangyu district is a comprehensive and full-featured new urban area with riverside characteristics, a regional transportation hub. It is the business center of Shaoxing city as well as a new commercial area in eastern Zhejiang province, and is considered to be an important town for the Yangtze River Delta's regional integration.
