CAMCE signs cooperation MoU with Nicaragua

Sinomach subsidiary China CAMC Engineering Co Ltd (CAMCE) and the Ministry of Health of Nicaragua have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to promote cooperation in construction of medical facilities and supply of medical equipment.

CAMCE excels in hospital design and construction, and has been developing cooperation with Nicaragua, a country involved in the Belt and Road Initiative. The company is intent on improving Nicaragua's sanitary conditions and medical level and bringing tangible benefits to its people.

CAMCE entered the Nicaraguan market in 2012, and has completed a number of high-quality projects and won a good market reputation. In the past ten years, it has built eight hospitals with a total of 2000 beds, which have contributed to the enhancement of the country's healthcare level and the treatment of people during the COVID-19 pandemic.

CMCE completes important parts of Cameroon water works

The Sanaga Water Treatment Plant and its supporting works in Yaoundé, the capital of Cameroon, is the largest water treatment project undertaken by Sinomach subsidiary China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CMEC) in the country.

A cofferdam earthwork, a 1,260-day temporary protection of the plant's water pump station, was removed three days ahead of schedule, which marked that the water pump station was completed and all equipment had been fully tested.

The size of the cofferdam earthwork was about 67,000 cubic meters. Its upstream-facing protective materials took up 7,100 cubic meters, and the downstream-facing parts 1,300 cubic meters, meaning a lot of work and highly technical underwater excavation was required to remove the cofferdam. CMEC ensured smooth progress of the necessary engineering and also shortened the construction period.

Once completed, the facility will be the largest water treatment plant of the country. With a daily water volume of 300,000 cubic meters, the project will meet the drinking water needs of more than 2.5 million people in the capital and its neighboring areas, alleviating the shortage of drinking water and improving life for all those living nearby.

CMEC-built water plant in Angola delivers water

With completion of its phase-III construction the Candelabro Water Plant, a key public-benefit project in Angola, has started supplying water at a daily rate of 45,000 cubic meters.

The project was undertaken by Sinomach subsidiary China Machinery Engineering Corporation (CEMC). After interconnection, the plant will have a daily capacity of 210,000 cubic meters, which will benefit nearly two million people in nine regions including the capital Luanda.
